چکیده
Sri Lanka is a tropical agricultural country in which huge number of insect species have been reported. Bees, wasps, and ants belong to the order Hymenoptera mostly living colony, colony members attack humans aggressively when they are disturbed. However, Hymenopterans important many ways such as pollination service wild plants, honey production, natural pest control for crops, being food chains. Therefore, we should help conserve while safeguarding ourselves from them.Unpublished data confirm that thousands hospital admissions 15-30 deaths after stings annually. When disturbed, sting victims inject venom defense mechanism. Immunological reactions toxic effects common clinical presentations sting. Fatal anaphylaxis, rhabdomyolysis, acute kidney injury, myocardial infarction (Kounis syndrome), bowel gangrene, cerebral infarction, pulmonary oedema, multi organ failure, limb ischaemia haemolytic anaemia reported Lanka.

Phylogenomics Resolves Evolutionary Relationships among Ants, Bees, and Wasps
Eusocial behavior has arisen in few animal groups, most notably in the aculeate Hymenoptera, a clade comprising ants, bees, and stinging wasps [1-4]. Phylogeny is crucial to understanding the evolution of the salient features of these insects, including eusociality [5]. Yet the phylogenetic relationships among the major lineages of aculeate Hymenoptera remain contentious [6-12]. We address this...
متن کاملOccupational Stress and Burnout Among Lawyers in Sri Lanka
The aim of this study was to explore the associations between occupational stress measured through job demand control (JDC), and burnout among lawyers in Sri Lanka. The job demand-control model and the burnout model are among the most used theoretical frameworks that relate job characteristics to health and well-being of individuals. This study included 290 respondent lawyers practicing in the ...
متن کاملContrasting foraging patterns for Africanized honeybees, native bees and native wasps in a tropical agroforestry landscape
Ecological and temporal factors can influence animal foraging patterns and may obscure our understanding of how native and exotic species interact. To understand how such factors affect foraging, the visitation of native and exotic bees and wasps was observed at nectar feeders within Mexican agroforestry systems, while documenting (1) vegetation management (low-shade vs. high-shade coffee), (2)...

The proportion of the population under the age of 18 years is 28% and the proportion above age 60 is 8% (UNO, 2009). The literacy rate is 97% for men and 99% for women (UN Statistics, 2008). متن کاملPhylogenomic Insights into the Evolution of Stinging Wasps and the Origins of Ants and Bees
The stinging wasps (Hymenoptera: Aculeata) are an extremely diverse lineage of hymenopteran insects, encompassing over 70,000 described species and a diversity of life history traits, including ectoparasitism, cleptoparasitism, predation, pollen feeding (bees [Anthophila] and Masarinae), and eusociality (social vespid wasps, ants, and some bees) [1]. The most well-studied lineages of Aculeata a...
